二氫睪酮(dihydrotestosteroneC19H30O2)。亦稱17β－羥基-5α-雄[甾]烷-3-酮、5α－二氫睪酮、5α－DHT、或雄烷酮(stanorone)。是睪酮的雙鍵在5α處被還原的甾醇。對附屬腺(前列腺、精囊腺等)，起著所謂的真的雄性激素的作用。在附屬性腺的細(xì)胞中存在著形成該甾醇的5α-氫化酶。該甾醇和受體蛋白質(zhì)在細(xì)胞內(nèi)結(jié)合成的復(fù)合體進(jìn)入附屬腺的細(xì)胞核中，促進(jìn)新的蛋白質(zhì)合成。顯示出比睪酮稍強(qiáng)的雄性激素作用。5β-體雖在肝臟、雞冠等中以睪酮形態(tài)存在，但是沒有雄性激素的作用。5α－二氫睪酮由于3α-羥基甾醇脫氫酶的作用而代謝成為5α-雄烷-3α－17β-二醇排出體外。
